Website online!

The topic of this website is Noncommutative Geometry and Particle Physics, containing news items, links to (popular) articles, a glossary and much more. It is connected to the workshop Noncommutative Geometry and Particle Physics  at the Lorentz Centre in Leiden in October 2013.

The goal of this workshop is to bring together scientists working in noncommutative geometry and in particle physics, to see how experimental findings (e.g. in particle accelerators, but not exclusively) provide inspiration for noncommutative geometry, and vice versa, how noncommutative geometry can provide tools for phenomenological model-building.

The workshop will consist of morning lectures (crash courses) on topics in noncommutative geometry for particle physicists and vice versa. Besides more advanced seminars there will much discussion time. Also we plan to have `studygroups’ in which several open research problems will be addressed by the participants.”

This website will contain updates during the workshop, documents with background material, discussions that take place in the study groups, a glossary, and much more.

In the future, we plan to extend this website as a repository for noncommutative geometry in general.
