Postdoc position at Radboud University Nijmegen

A postdoctoral position in quantum gravity and quantum geometry will become available at the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP) of the Radboud University Nijmegen, starting in autumn of 2015. The successful applicant will become part of the research program “Quantum gravity and the search for quantum spacetime”, a collaboration of high-energy theorists and mathematical physicists, sponsored by the Dutch Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM) (see here for more information).

Applicants should have a background in quantum gravity or related areas, and an active interest in contributing to the consortium’s research in nonperturbative quantum gravity, which focuses on causal dynamical triangulations, renormalization group methods and noncommutative geometry. The appointment will be for two years.

Application papers, consisting of a cover letter, CV, statement of research interests and publication list should be sent to Prof. R. Loll at r.loll@science.ru.nl with subject line “QGG postdoc ‘your name’” in text- or PDF-format. Applicants should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the same address with subject line “QGG recommendation ‘your name’“.

Deadline for applications is December 15, 2014. Later submissions may still be considered as long as the position remains vacant.
